“ Delightful surprise near historic city of Clermont. Hidden gem by the citrus tower, it captures the essence of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. From delightful colorful decorations that include island views, domino tables, and pleasant puertorrican music. We started with the sampler which is perfect for a party of 4 to 5 people and it includes sorullos corn fritters, empanadillas turnovers, alcapurrias green banana fritters filled with meat, relleno de papa and chicken bites. We all arroz con gandules rice and pigeon peas and pork. For dessert we had the creamiest coconut flan. I felt like I found a little piece of home at Clermont. A place that I will be visiting more. ”
“ Best Puerto Rican food in Florida. My family and I used to go to the Orlando location. We were so sad when they closed but then found this location. Well worth the drive because legit this is the BEST Puerto Rican food in all the state. Probably the nation. We went on a slow day which ended up being awesome. My mom became best friends with one of the owners by the end of the visit. We had to mofongo de pernil, pasteles, sangria de parcha, sangria de rojo, tres leche y flan de cocoa. Dont be fooled by the awkward location inside a Jewish church w coffee shop this place is a hidden gem. Also well decorated. 1010 recommend. ”
“ Guavate is a hidden Gem! I had the Mofongo with chicken and a Quesito for desert. Both were very tasty! The atmosphere is really unique and vibrant. The space is also a very good size, leaving you feeling comfortable and not cramped at all. My server Monica was excellent, helpful with recommendations and very attentive. One of the store owners even came to my table and checked up on me and told me more about the restaurants history. I would highly recommend checking out Guavate! ”
“ Wow! Im so glad I drop in to this place. OMG! The taste, the place, and the staff including the owners. Everyone is amazing! Very polite and friendly. Food taste was awesome. Wont lie, I wished the alcapurias were just a little bigger, but thats just me cause I love those things with a passion. Lol! Again the flavor and taste makes up for the size. I will definitely be coming back here. Very clean place, plenty of parking space. Man! This is a great place! ”

I used to visit them over in Orlando before the pandemic. I felt sad because they had closed over there. Finally I found them again and it is even better. ”
